CBG Plant - Public Notice for VCS Project 4649

This is to bring to your kind notice that Sainsons Paper Industries Private Limited has implemented a project titled, CBG Plant at Sainsons (VCS ID 4649). It involves treatment of wastewater generated from the Paper Mill to capture methane and produce Bio-CNG. The generated Bio-CNG is supplied to HPCL nearby petrol pump under a long term agreement.

Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) may be issued for the greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals for which Sainsons Paper Industries Private Limited will be claiming carbon credits under VERRA. The ownership of these credits lies exclusively with Sainsons Paper Industries Private Limited.

This notice intends to apprise you about the project, to avoid any potential risk of double claiming Scope 3 emissions under this project.
